So the idea was to spend the month looking at architecture. Don't ask me why I thought that would be a good idea for a February photography theme in Michigan. Zero architectural pictures were taken in Michigan this month.

We did make it to New Orleans (and back - but that's long story). I took along a small Lumix camera I have. I like that it is small, compact and lightweight. Even though I keep trying to like it, that is really the only thing I like about it. I regretted not have my trusty Canon with me. Even if I could only carry one lens on it. Live and learn. Or probably not.

Anyway, here are a few I ended up with. We did have a marvelous time, minus the getting there and back. Great food and drinks and friendly people. And a tour of the Garden District, where these photos were taken.
