Project 60, April: Trains

I chose trains as my subject for the first month of this year's photography project. I started this year thinking about what I value from photography. It is the hope to hold on to a instant, to make it last a little bit longer. In my favorite song, Jack Johnson sings “I hope this old train breaks down, so I can take a walk around and see what there is to see.” Photography is my way of stopping the train, for a brief moment, to see what there is to see and try to capture it.
